Straight 8s

While not strictly a county music concept, this "Straight 8s" feel is most often heard in contemporary county music. It is a meter of 8 notes per measure of music (played as eight notes) with each note having equal emphasis, whereas country traditionaly emphasizes the first note in a measure. It is most commonly heard today in the music of Allison Kraus.
