Ecological Fallacy

This occurs when someone makes an inference about a particular member of a group based on aggregate data about a group.

For example If a husband and wife are 6 feet tall and 5 feet tall, they would have a mean (average) height of Five feet, Six inches tall. However, neither of them are that height.
